ARTISTIC ACCOMPLISHMENT WHY DO
YOU CREATE ART
Romas has painted portraits of Congressman Charles F. Bass, Governor Craig Benson, First Lieutenant (now Captain) Demere Kasper, as well as many private clients who recognize his skill at capturing the likeness and essence of the subject in a way which will not only become an heirloom, but can stand alone as a work of art. The Process: Romas will travel to the client's home for the initial meeting where he will make pencil sketches and take reference photographs of the subject to be painted. He will then return to his studio to create sketches determining pose, mood, clothing, lighting, etc. At a second meeting, the sketches will be presented to the client for approval and the final composition will be chosen. At this meeting, further detailed photographs will be taken and color studies from life will be made. This will take approximately 4 - 5 hours. The painting will be created in the artist's studio and will be delivered upon completion to the client on an agreed upon date. At delivery, final adjustments can be made if necessary. Financial Terms: 50% of the fee is due at the conclusion of the first meeting. The balance is due upon delivery to the client. Travel, lodging, framing and shipping expenses if applicable are extra. Prices are for a single figure. A 15% discount will be granted for each additional figure on the same canvas. Complex elements, backgrounds or animals are extra.
